#StartupSouth is a Startup/Entrepreneurship ecosystem development project with a mission to educate, connect and attract investment to Startups in the South-South and South-East of Nigeria.
#StartupSouth Conference gathers founders, innovators and investors from across Nigeria and beyond to a city within the South-South and South-East of Nigeria, annually. We are inspiring a generation of young founders to build a highly scalable and investable businesses right within the region. It is our believe that these businesses will in-turn accelerate the development of the region.
Notable names in Africa/global Startup community – including Mark Essien (Hotels.ng), Iyinoluwa E. Aboyeji (Flutterwave), Lexy Novitske (Singularity Invest) to mention just a few – has graced #StartupSouth stage. Over 5000 people have attended a #StartupSouth event/training physically/ online and over ~$350,000 has been raised by #StartupSouth founders who now employ a sizable amount of people in the region.
This year’s conference in Owerri will feature two tracks with multiple sessions. It will also feature exhibitions from partners and Startups going on simultaneously. There’s also going to be a Networking/After Party at Oguta later in the evening.
Other events lined up for #StartupSouth4 include Immersive Content Bootcamp with Christian Felder, Startup Bootcamp and a Hackathon all happening simultaneously – two to three days before the conference.
